WATOTO CHILDRENS CHOIR

WATOTO CHILDREN’S CHOIR VISIT ON 17th FEBRUARY
HOSTED BY OASIS CHURCH, BEAUMARIS

An audience of an estimated 200 people were present at Capel Drindrod to enjoy the wonderful singing and dancing of the Watoto Childrens’s Choir from Uganda.
All the children were orphaned, mostly due to the fighting and the aids epidemic, but have now found security and comfort in the care of the Watoto Village. They are all set in families, educated in the school and have their medical needs attended to in the village medical centre. Watoto aims to train up leaders for a better future.
The children were so happy and thankful for their transformed lives and gave testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ – that He has taken them from abject poverty and danger to a life with a hope and a future. They were also very grateful for the welcome they received in Beaumaris and we were so happy to be able to send them away with a gift of about £1,000 and well as the proceeds of the sale of their products to help with the ongoing work in Uganda.
Thank you to all who came and made the event such a great success.WATOTO CHILDREN’S CHOIR VISIT ON 17th FEBRUARY
