Revival in Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey

Over the past few months a team from Oasis Church has been visiting an elderly persons residential home in Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey. Last Tuesday with a team of just 6 from Oasis Church after the service when the Gospel was shared, two ladies gave their lives to Christ including one who is 100 years old! The Holy Spirit moved upon her and with tears in her eyes she gave her life to Christ. Another lady also received Christ on the same visit. One lady had fallen asleep and didn't come into the service until near the end and she was so annoyed with herself because she so wanted to be there!

There is a hunger in these people. Many older folk are sad when they see the way the nation has gone and are now ready to give to give themselves to the Lord. Maybe there are some residential homes near you which you could arrange to visit - all we did was explained which church we are from and asked if we could come and take a service. We preach the Word and then expect God to confirm it with signs and wonders. Many of the residents in these homes have very few visitors and would so appreciate people to visit them. I believe the fact that one woman was 100 years of age is significant. God is saying 'Is anything too hard for the Lord?' Abraham and Sarah were around 100 when Isaac was born. We have recently prayed for an 80 year old man who was given 1% chance by the doctors to survive an operation. He not only survived but he is making a recovery that is astounding the doctors. Age is only a barrier if we make it one!

These are an important part of the strategy for growth. In a smaller group people grow more quickly as they share and study the Bible together. The groups are also an opportunity to care for each other in practical ways and to reach out together to others in the locality.

Open Air August Bank Holiday

The Lion Square in Beaumaris was as busy as it gets when a group of us from the church went afer the Sunday service with guitars and amplification and held an outdoor service.Many heard the Gospel through song and testimony and at one
point a group of bikers turned up and applauded the music! Its great to witness for the Lord.
